LIQUID WATER FOUND ON MARS SOUTH POLE!! Go figure that the scientist had the UNIVERSE compleatly wrong. And that the truth would ultimatly be told by me.. here is the truth.. everything is a fractal of the universe. from the very big to the very small. The universe is expanding and will always expand. forever!! The scientist have it compleatly wrong when they say that they are trying to figure out when GRAVITY will slow down the expansion of the universe!! The TRUTH IS.. if gravity ever was goin to pull the universe back in on itself.. it would have done soo at the very begining. And soo we find that the universe is actually speeding up its expansion. This is a fundimental truth !! This changes everything!! and soo You must now re-examine everything that you know about the creation of planets. The thoery of pangea the 1 huge land mass surrounded by water is complete junk!! The Truth is that the Earth is expanding!! Along with everything else in the universe. And as it expands the POLES become colder and colder!and actually creates ICE WATER!! every action has an equal and opposite reaction!! the poles opposite is the core of the plannet that is very hot!. And soo as we look at mars and see this same process happending. Think of it as the very beggining of Planet Earth. The ice forms at the pole and as it heats up turns to a liquid. THIS IS HOW OCEANS ARE FORMED!! Peace on EARTH. sinserly, Your savior DAN BIERWIRTH

This may be completely irrelevant to the current post but I refer to today's news about a German scientist who claims that biological organisms did exist in soil samples obtained from Mars. The scientists who claim this is bogus seem to have tunnel vision when they claim life could not exist in the extreme conditions on Mars.

If they were truly scientists, then the logical approach is that you should never base evolution on just carbon based lifeforms. The conditions on planet Earth is one of hundreds of planetary conditions that sustain life as we know it but what about life that we do not know of? There may be many other evolutionary structures that were have not come accross yet. All we know is the carbon based lifeforms that we encounter on a daily basis. There could be other lifeforms out there that are not carbon based.

I believe there is cause to be more open minded and explore the possibilites that there may or may not be living organisms in those soil samples. Needless to say it would also be very knieve and arrogant to assume that we are the only living beings in this vast Universe of uncharted territory.

Well, if 'mother nature' was to have to choose between carbon and silicon, it would choose carbon.
You can probably base a life form on almost anything. It's just less likely.

-pyoko the duck

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

LOL, that could well be the case.

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life. Those who make it happen, those who watch it happen...and those who do not know what happened.

In yet another unrelated comment I must say that you can tell before you even open a thread a lot about the creator by seeing how many thread he has creating in a short amount of time. I find that the ratio is inversly proportional to the relevance of said posts. Just an observation.

_______________________________

"If you are surrounded by those who constatly agree with you, then you're in an intellectual vacuum. If you feel like trying to make a difference, you have to BE different. How can you do that without interacting with those who are different from yourself?"

- a_lost_packet_

In a comment on your unrelated comment, I was probably a comet or asteroid before I felt comfortable enough to start a thread

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Well, I joined by starting a thread. But I was asking a very specific question. But you are right, I still don't really feel comfortable starting a thread unless I have a very good reason.

_______________________________

"If you are surrounded by those who constatly agree with you, then you're in an intellectual vacuum. If you feel like trying to make a difference, you have to BE different. How can you do that without interacting with those who are different from yourself?"

- a_lost_packet_

Yeah, that is one way a lot of people join, is asking a specific question, often in ask the astronomer.

My joining was to answer a question, since it was a waist high hanging curveball

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
