<font color="yellow">"...if the burn is made several orbits before entry..."</font><br /><br />Of course simply going through a few orbits before the DO burn even <b>without</b> a burn will considerably reduce the need for crossrange. A corrective burn will simply reduce the number of orbits required.

So it's not really a cross range increase, it's simply a re-entry from a shifted starting point, which takes a lot of fuel. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>
