I am looking for the name of a sci-fi story i read ages ago. It's about a guy that collects exotic animals and buys some alien ant creatures. They develop their castles to look like his face and can grow to the size of their environment. They escape from their small container and start to get huge and start killing humans for their food. In the ending (SPOILERS!!!) he is taken away to be fed to the queen of one of the groups of ants, and they all have mutated to have his face because he took care of them. I think it's an asimov story but i'm not 100% sure. If anyone knows the name of this story of what book it can be found in, i would appreciate it.

Thanks

Sandkings by George R.R. Martin?
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/067142663X/qid=1124892236/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-2557152-3416804?v=glance&s=books

this was made into an Outer Limits episode, which I saw. the "ants" do carve the owners face, and they do eat him in the end

The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.
--- James Clerk Maxwell

it was some odd coincidences which lead me to find the story quickly: a google search on Asimov and ants took me to an ant farm thread on an asimov-related BBS. posters there listed several scifi stories about ants. this one was the very first one I looked into because it happened to be from the very same author I'm reading right now (but one of his fantasy works, not scifi). weird.

The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.
--- James Clerk Maxwell
