Ok a test of Sci-Fi book knowledge for all. I know there are a 100 new books every year in the 'alien invasion' genre but i read a great book about 2 years ago and have since lost it.

The book in question is no older than 5-6 years and i'd really like to reclaim the name so i can go out and purchase it again or see if there is a sequel.

Here is some information...

On the cover: Kind of newspaper clipping of "invasion!"

Storyline: A group of army reservists are out in the woods training and come under attack by an alien race.

It turns out there are 2 alien races that were at war on their planet and the "good guy" race has used a portal technoology to enter earth. Problem is they were followed by the 'badguy' race.

The reservists defend themselves with the 'goodguys' and eventually the US government learns of the encounter.

Then governments start to find pockets of the 'badguys' that have prepared an invasion force... and you know the rest.

If anyone could help with naming this book i would be very grateful.

Thanks
