NASA To Retire Atlantis by 2008

Hi everybody,<br />I am new here and several days ago I read that NASA plans to retire Atlantis by 2008. What do you think about that?<br /><br />I read it here and here

Makes sense in light of the fact that the shuttle system is being retired in 2010. True, but will NASA manage to launch an average of 4 shuttles per year with only two vehicles according to the present manifest?
