New Doctor Who v. New Battlestar

This is a question brought up on another forum, what do you think. <br />Personally I am of the Doctor Who Camp. Although I think the two shows will appeal to different audiences there may be some fans that are torn.<br />I understand that the question is really only viable if they are set to compete. This is possible but is unlikely because I think Sci-Fi channel is in the running for Doctor Who rights in america (That's only speculation) <br /><br />Also I think it is also regianal. Doctor Who WILL do better in the UK. But I think both franchises, in the US is up in the air. I could be mistaken but I'm not famillure with an insanely huge fan base for Battle star. So I think that puts both shows on the same level.

I hope Doctor Who does well in America. I used to love watching it as a child in the early 1980s on PBS.

I, too, would like to see the Doctor do well in America. Now if they would just bring back Blake's 7, I would be really happy. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" />

<p>Looking back both shows were great when I was a kid in the 70s.<br /><p>Now that I see it with my daughter, who is a big Doctor Who fan I can see the seams and joins. Sad huh.<br /><p>In Australia, we won't be seeing either series for a while. From what I have read, I think that Doctor Who seems the better show. The changes aren't as dramatic.<br /><p>Blakes 7 was just pathetic. Bloody cool ship though.</p></p></p></p>
