Our next missions Away 27 and 28 are starting to come together. A boiler plate Away 28 was completed last weekend. They're some pics of it up at the JPA website, www.jpaerospace.com , look under the 'Update Log' section. The construction of the flight vehicle will begin this Saturday.

We also posted some art work folks have created with JPA vehicles. For these also look under the Update Log.

JP
www.jpaerospace.com
Interesting to see away 28 taking shape, thanks. Are there any plans for testing the ion thrusters needed for the ATO?

The first electric thruster flight test will be Away 34. The vehicle will look a lot like Away 24 that tested the high altitude propeller.

JP

We just conducted a balloon deployment and float test on Away 28.

The test went really really well. We were having some problems with uneven load as the balloon deploys, the issue vanished with the new system.

I just post a bunch of pics of the test at the JP Aerospace web site:

www.jpaerospace.com

Look under the 'Update Log' section.

JP

Please add more high-altitude photos, they make great wallpaper on my notebook!

We hope to have upgraded cameras on the next mission. It would be great to get a 180 degree panorama.
Know any camera makers/dealers who would like their name at the edge of space in trade for a few cameras?

JP
