I wanna know if theres a way to comunicate with the rest of the universe WITHOUT using the Electro Magnetic Spectrum?
Cosmic Radiation, Ultra Violet, Radio/TV signals, Visable Light and Infra Red???
Is it possible?

try this

"If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing." - Homer Simpson

Forget that!
It doesn't matter what part of the electromagnetic spectrum your using. and by the way
"Cosmic Radiation, Ultra Violet, Radio/TV signals, Visable Light and Infra Red??? "
-thats all part of this spectrum. Either way these are all only moving at he speed of light .

Once earth citizen spread ot among the galaxy how will we communicate! What! with a four minute phone delay this all to long. I f messages or not sent and recived instantaneously we'll be back to the stone age. I propose an ansible. A device for instant communiccation-incase you're wondering I did not think of that name out the top of my head, heard it in a book called Ender's game. ITs really a good book you should read it.

Any way back to what I was sayin few possibilities exist forinstant communication.
1. we convert are signals into tachyons
downsides-may not be possible t o convert signals
- tachyons, or faster than light material may not exist
2. create a worm hole
downsides - obviously i don't know-you might get sucked into another dimension- and it would need to be directed.
3. ( the last one I know of) send pulses of space times across the universe in a pattern
downside -may not be possible.
4,(one more) find out how, as with particle physics, a mass can insantely appear some where after a lon long time.
downside- well hmm let me see...there got to be some downside to all the trillions and quadrillions of atoms in a persons body suddenly phasing out of the dimension a reassembling o n another planet.

________________________________________

your move...

Really advanced civilizations might communicate via modulated gravity waves. Create a micro-black hole. Bombard it with electrons until it has a strong negative charge. Use a big electromagnet to vibrate it. Larry Niven used this concept (and turned it into a murder weapons!) in his short story "The Hole Man".

PS: All light, LASER or regular, is part of the EM spectrum. The EM spectrum is everything from kilometer long radio waves up to ultra high energy gamma rays in the nanometer wavelengths.

We can't hear the aliens because we haven't got an ansible. We need a store of entangled matter shipped here from elsewhere. Quantum entanglement is the only way to communicate FTL.

Ansibles, nice

QE is a stocastic process, no information can be transmitted (as I'm sure you know)

I could swear I saw on TV a researcher who was transmitting voice signals and music over an entangled photon system (using microwaves). Admittedly, the transmission gap was only a few centimeters....

Yes when we talk on the phone a small wormhole will appear between the your reciever and the other persons mike

________________________________________

your move...

derekmcd

try this

Um, that's a laser. Light is electromagnetic in nature.

Skyone:
Tachyons haven't been proven to exist...

Me:
I've been hearing about Tachyons since I think 1979. If it has been that long, not much progress has apparently been made in understanding them

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life.
