TAX, TAX, TAX and more TAX. Enough already. Carbon emissions "taxes" for red meat, cheese, wine, beer, cow farts, chicken poop, living organism exhalations, cars, electricity production/use, the decay of trees, forest fires, etc., etc., and more damnable etc. AND how are such Tax Monies used ? Private jets and palacial buildings for politicians; bigger ships and aircraft for the military; and, most essentially, "freebies" for political supporters. ......... Space tourism is a fad which will abruptly end right after the first crash and/or unreturnable flight,

Well, taxing it to death is one way of stopping mankind's breakout into space cold. And thus escalating an entire world class iron curtain's tyranny, anarchy, and every form of war between people and peoples. Division will have its half of the universe. What cannot divide outwardly, or be divided outwardly, will divide inwardly.

Like in every other age of alien, harsh, and forbidding frontier going in the past, breakout needs to be as free of manmade artificial chain-like restraints, blockages and drags upon it as possible. An iron curtain put up between mankind and breakout into frontier means there will be none whatsoever between mankind and the breakdown of order and civilization on Earth. A natural entropy will have its way big time in a shrunken, frontier-less, increasingly controlled -- therefore uncontrolled, closed systemic world (not just in world in general but more specifically breakdown and retreat and shrinkage in mankind's mass mind and genius).

In their own way, so many like Stephen Hawking, Gerard K. O'Neill, Will Durant, and too many others to name, have warned about is coming if we cannot breakout from Earth in time (a due time of birthing from Earth). No man-gods of science today will prevent what is coming if there is no breakout in time. No more than priests of a thousand years and more ago, can they stop an imploding (frontier-less) world from imploding.
