I saw a photo of a guy in an insurance add. He was a spittin image of my Dad and I knew for certain he was not my Dad. But "Spittin image" is a term that suggests the person is exactly the same in appearance. Closer examination of this phenomenon reveals the person closely resembles another person rather than is a spittin or identical copy of the person he/she appears like.

Identical twins for example are not identical 100%. There are usually subtle little differences. So I would think that while the person looks awfully close in appearence to another, I would eventually examine the image closer and find little differences.

One might even be the photo itself. What sort of lighting? People look one way under photographed conditions and look significantly different when seen in real life.

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life. Those who make it happen, those who watch it happen...and those who do not know what happened.
