Hmm, very nice model collection someone has there. I couldn't remember the name until it was posted by others here, but I also had a model of the Bomarc. It was a supersonic (Mach 3, IIRC) surface-to-air missile, launched by a solid rocket motor with twin ramjet sustainer engines. The 'rail transporter' is actually the launch platform.

My pleasure. <img src="/images/icons/cool.gif" /><br /><br />I'm surprised I remembered what it was. Seem to recall looking at a model of the BOMARC many years ago and that picture sparked a memory. Funny how that works. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <font size="3" color="#ff9900"><p><font size="1" color="#993300"><strong><em>------------------------------------------------------------------- </em></strong></font></p><p><font size="1" color="#993300"><strong><em>"I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.
