I just ran across the term “relativistic star” and cannot find anything online that defines what that is. Can anyone here explain what a relativistic star is?
Very basic; a neutron star whose behaviors are better described using relativity than Newtonian techniques. Ex: one that oscillates, producing gravitational waves.

Structure; a meter-thick "atmosphere", a crust ~2km thick, a super-fluid interior made mostly of neutrons and a smattering of other particles and a strong magnetic field.
