An underlying theme of the currect coverage has been "a private space venture" as well as "a public-private partnership". For the latter, NASA has always employed lots of contractors. I guess it's all about who's pulling the wagon. For the former, I am nostagic about the 1950 film "Destination Moon" [screenwriter = Robert Heinlein] in which the whole venture was executed from American private industry. Good for them!
