I actually liked the last 'Star Trek' incarnation, the show 'Enterprise'. It wasn't bad relative to the standards of alot of modern television Sci-fi. But what made it hard for me to suspend disbelief is how uncannily Captain Archer, Scott Bacula that is, looks so much like a young Steve Martin.

He even wrinkles his forehead and eyebrows like Steve when he is perplexed. I keep waiting on him to go "Hhhhaaayyyyy", and sing: It's impossible, to snort a Starship up your nose...it's just impossible.

ZenGalacticore

Yes, but the pressing question is:

Is "Bacula" pronounced to sound like Back-you-la?

Or does it sound more like Ba-cooler?

I've wondered about this since Quantum-Leap! (Not enough to do anything to find out, up until now)

_______________________________________________
SpeedFreek

I think it's pronounced like 'Dracula'so, yeah, like back-u-la. He did a fair job on 'Enterprise', but he still looks like a younger Steve Martin. "My cat went down to the bank yesterday, disguised as ME..."

ZenGalacticore

Come on people! Nobody else out there thinks that Scott Bacula looks like Steve Martin? I guess I'm just a voice in the wilderness looking at the big city from the forest.

ZenGalacticore

His face has a certain similar pudgyness about it, I suppose.

_______________________________________________
SpeedFreek
