shuttle novel from early 80's

I remember reading a novel when I was in 6th grade or so .... it had a character "Nick Carter" who was a spy and involved the Shuttle ... <br /><br />When I try to Google to find the name of the book all I get is that damn Backstreet Bozo ....<br /><br />anyways .. I'd like to find the name of the book ...<br /><br />
