For those who missed Dave's typically understated announcement, hidden at the tail end of a unpopular thread - Shuttle_Guy is back at work!!!

Its kind of a cliche attached to emoticons, but this is a sincere and true

*big smile*

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

Hey najaB, cut it out! I've been trying to give you good support over in your 'unpopular thread'!

And SG, I already gave you a hearty pat on the back over there (no pun intended), but it's worth saying twice .... congratulations and welcome back big guy!

I'm also going to ask, what is this nickname you've mentioned.......?

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!

Great news!

Please don't overdo it Dave!

No doubt the Space Program is hugely important to you, but so are you to the Space Program.

And important to us too, both as a cool guy who knows the inside skinny on the Shuttle, and as a friend.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

Defiantly, without the incite of S_G I would be playing a lot more computer games rather than looking up what hypergolic was or trying to figure out which is pad 34a and which is 34b.

Thanks a lot S_G! keep yourself well.
I am indeed very happy to see you back at work!! Please do not over work yourself. If you have to post less here to keep up your good work, then at least on my part please do so. Outside of that however, everyone here enjoys both your knowledge and spirit!!

Not to sound overly nervous, but has anyone seen our good mate SG in the past couple of days? NajaB, anyone?

Perhaps he is actively tied up with the Terminal Countdown testing, or is camped over there to watch if he isn't directly involved, but it is unusual not to have some learned input from him for 48 hours.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!

I spoke with him online on Saturday, but not since. I'll see if I can get a reply from his office email tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that you have been disappointed in the program guy's performance, but I'm sure the delay will fly by for you because you are pretty much right there at the coal-face.

I'm about the most impatient person I know, and even I seem to have mellowed sufficiently over the past couple of years to take this delay in my stride. Anyway, we're in the home straight now and I'm looking forward to hearing your stories about the launch, once you get home from your console duties.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!
