Smithsonian FUTURES exhibit examines space artifacts of the future

It is excellent that the Smithsonian has created this exhibition but there is a wider point that should be considered. As far as I know the current plan is to deorbit into the ocean both the ISS and the Hubble Space telescope when they have finally been decommissioned - these are very important artifacts for future generations about the space history of this time (Imagine the ancient Egyptians pulling down the great Pyramid of Giza). Surely more of an effort should be made to preserve these objects e.g. a controlled deorbit to the surface of the Moon that future generations could visit. If anybody would like to start a project to examine how to do this I would like to get involved.
