Some baby stars in ancient stellar nurseries were born in 'fluffy' cosmic blankets

This looks an unexplained fact although spurious: ""We found that about 60% of the molecular clouds we observed had a filamentary structure with a width of about 0.3 light-years,".

But it seems it may be a problematic formulation, as that is the resolution of the survey:
We present an analysis of Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) archival data at the spatial resolution of ~0.1 pc for 17 massive young stellar objects (YSOs) in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC; Z ~ 0.2 Z_⊙).
