I wonder by how much the mass distribution has to vari around the core to make the difference between a dead galaxy or a quiet galaxy? I wonder if they can get any data on how the few old stars are moving in such a far away galaxy. It would be interesting to see where they fit in as a predictor of the central black hole size.
