Rather a disturbing mess of things to sort out.

I noted numerous problems in a quick scan of the footage, just a sampling:

*Fire burning underwater

*Spongebob's underwear appears to be cardboard, but it is not saturated with water and can hold it's shape

*decompression not a problem for rapid changes in depth

*voice tonality is the same in and out of the water

*various food stuffs remain intact in water and do not dissolve

*metal objects do not corrode and remain functional

*electrical devices seem to work

*viscosity of water does not hinder movement

*characters can take showers underwater

*natural lighting seems to exist below 600 feet down

*Squidward and Bob can communicate, why would such disparate life forms have a common language ?

*dietary preferences of most creatures are inaccurate

*sponges are not ambulatory

How can an entertainment franchise of such popularity be so wrong on so many points ????????

It’s a stupid cartoon movie! What do you expect? I wouldn’t let my kids even watch this if it were on when they were young.

spongebob....complete drivel. I wouldn't have been able to watch it even as a kid. As an adult...I see NO merit in it either (sadly, neither did I get ren and stimpy)

You are clearly a seriously misguided individual. Ren and Stimpy is the pinnacle of comedic and artistic genius our race is capable of producing! Who can forget these classics!

Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksman

LOG!

The History Eraser Button!

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Why, to find artistic culture as fine as this, one would have to gaze at the stars and discover the secrets of the Universe!

Oh... wait...

I have to disagree a_l_p. I cast my lot with Animaniacs

C'mon now, everyone knows cartoons hit their peak with The Road Runner and Wile E Coyote.

Animated features hit their peak with the original (not later) Johnny Quest.

Major SBSP oddity:

The fish walk on their tailfins while underwater instead of swimming.

What kind of drugs is the animation staff abusing ??????????

Personally I think all children’s blatant mind numbing programs should be banned, we are feeding a generation on media junk food, they like it but it’s not good for them, parents like it, but their kids are suffering.

Ban sponge bob, Dorothy the dinosaur, teletubies, the wiggles, and a million more I can’t think of, teach them science, teach them reality, and if they don’t like it, let them play with a peg or stick out side, or maybe try to build a better mouse trap, or lego or something.

I think the biggest mistake parents and educators make these days, is to treat kids like kids; The fact is little people are just that, little people, and should be prepared for the world they inherit, just like tribes in the Amazon jungle and civilizations gone by. In these scenarios kids aren’t feed make believe BS they are feed with the real world issues that will directly affect them when they grow older.

Maybe we should be teaching them how to hack the Chinese government; I don’t know just a thought.

What do you mean wrong on so many points? You of all people, not being from around here, should understand the documentary genius of this life from another planet. I'll try to explain:

I noted numerous problems in a quick scan of the footage, just a sampling:
Let me help you out...

*Fire burning underwater
First the assumption of the liquid being water may be a bit of a stretch. Even if it is, the fire is obviously contained within some sort of energy field which while preventing combustion of the surrounding liquid can still heat whatever is required. Obviously its technology beyond our (native Terans and yourself) understanding.

*Spongebob's underwear appears to be cardboard, but it is not saturated with water and can hold it's shape
Again, a material that can both prevent leakage and is waterproof. I hadn't even thought of this one. I'm even more utterly amazed.

*decompression not a problem for rapid changes in depth
Well, this is a 'relative' depth. Things beings, though appearing like many of our species, may have evolved the necessary physical structures to handle such changes in depth.

*voice tonality is the same in and out of the water
The 'mouth' movements are for our benefit only. Communication in such a medium is obviously based on telepathy.

*various food stuffs remain intact in water and do not dissolve
Though we have preservatives which can mimic many of these qualities, its appearant they've found something both edible and functional. Of course, this assumes we're perceiving said foodstuffs as they are.

*metal objects do not corrode and remain functional
Another technological acheivement on their part. We too have such technological but clearly not of this caliber.

*electrical devices seem to work
I assumed that the devices were actually photonic and not electronic in nature.

*viscosity of water does not hinder movement
Evolutionary adaptation at its best for all the living creatures. For non-living items its probably a frictionless coating or a self-contained energy field of some sort.

*characters can take showers underwater
Their needs are actually to blow air (or some type of gas) to clean themselves much like we use water. This one really threw you for a loop?

*natural lighting seems to exist below 600 feet down
May not be natural...

*Squidward and Bob can communicate, why would such disparate life forms have a common language ?
Again, its not necessarily a spoken language. I answered this earlier in this post. (See: voice tonality...)

*dietary preferences of most creatures are inaccurate
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!

*sponges are not ambulatory
Says who? Your narrow scope of what constitutes life really does surprise me. You've been in this neck of the woods waaaaaay too long...

How can an entertainment franchise of such popularity be so wrong on so many points ????????
Technically entertainment, but as a documentary, its priceless information on the lifestyles and challenges of other living beings. Quite frankly, I'm quite surprised by your prejudice.

This whole wonderful series reminds me of the STNG episodes where the enterprise crew is unable to directly perceive the 'world' where the Q exist. The documentary is simply all that our narrow minds can handle. The actual world these beings live in is just too far beyond our ability to perceive it directly.

Precisely why I loved Animaniacs so much!

That explains the fast food joint, crabby patties and all the eating references.

By the way, the crabby patties are served in a joint owned by a crab. What is the meat in the patty ???

I fear their is some kind of ghastly crab concentration camp/holocaust thing going on down there.

Disturbing.

An ergy field that is not shorted out by salt water ?? PIFFLE !

*Spongebob's underwear appears to be cardboard, but it is not saturated with water and can hold it's shape
Again, a material that can both prevent leakage and is waterproof. I hadn't even thought of this one. I'm even more utterly amazed.

How can such a material be manufactured under water ??

*decompression not a problem for rapid changes in depth
Well, this is a 'relative' depth. Things beings, though appearing like many of our species, may have evolved the necessary physical structures to handle such changes in depth.

Evolution is just a theory.

*voice tonality is the same in and out of the water
The 'mouth' movements are for our benefit only. Communication in such a medium is obviously based on telepathy.

The amount of brain tissue in a sponge is miniscule, telepathy is not possible.

*various food stuffs remain intact in water and do not dissolve
Though we have preservatives which can mimic many of these qualities, its appearant they've found something both edible and functional. Of course, this assumes we're perceiving said foodstuffs as they are.

Maybe they all eventually die of cancer from this dangerous additive.

*metal objects do not corrode and remain functional
Another technological acheivement on their part. We too have such technological but clearly not of this caliber.

Again, technology ?? Ina ll this saltwater ?? Balderdash!

*electrical devices seem to work
I assumed that the devices were actually photonic and not electronic in nature.

Shouldn't you have said TETRAHEDRAL photons ??

*viscosity of water does not hinder movement
Evolutionary adaptation at its best for all the living creatures. For non-living items its probably a frictionless coating or a self-contained energy field of some sort.

They are all coated with teflon or force fields ?? How'd they get so smart ?? Espesially that tarded starfish

*characters can take showers underwater
Their needs are actually to blow air (or some type of gas) to clean themselves much like we use water. This one really threw you for a loop?

Bouyancy of air negates your hypothesis, the 'fluidic shower medium' moves downward

*natural lighting seems to exist below 600 feet down
May not be natural...

More technology ??

*Squidward and Bob can communicate, why would such disparate life forms have a common language ?
Again, its not necessarily a spoken language. I answered this earlier in this post. (See: voice tonality...)

ditto

*dietary preferences of most creatures are inaccurate
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!

THEY EAT CRABBY PATTIES WITH FRENCH FRIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*sponges are not ambulatory
Says who? Your narrow scope of what constitutes life really does surprise me. You've been in this neck of the woods waaaaaay too long...

More evolution, huh ???
