Right off hand I'd say everybody here is a Star Wars fan!<br />You have found us!<br />For me, the first one made was the best one.<br />Harrison Ford was so, well... prime.<br />I liked the aliens and the robots and the vehicles and even the princesses hair style!<br />Hard to find fault with any of it, in my opinion.<br /><br />Too bad I can't come up with a quote from it...<br /><br />Welcome to SDC Uplink!<br /><br />

Welcome to Uplink, LadyLeviticus! <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br /><br />I am a Star Wars fan. I prefer the original trilogy over the prequels, although I do think Revenge of the Sith is a better film than A New Hope or Return of the Jedi. But since I've watched the original three films over 10 times each - The Empire Strikes Back probably more than 20 times - and the prequels only once or twice, it is perhaps to early to judge on how they will stand the test of time. Star Wars as a whole is no doubt one of the best thing ever to happen to cinema. It set the standard for epic space adventure films, perhaps action films in general. The special effects were and are stunning. I'm still amazed at how well they were done in the first three films without the benefits of CGI.

I did like the orginals, but I think I am one of the few Jar-Jar supporters. If you want some fun, research some of the other SW's threads about Jar-Jar here. Some of them were fun.<br /><br />I have also read many, (to many, I think), of the SW books through the years. Han and Leia's kids have grown and taken their lead in the stories, Luke has married an Empire agent that was out to destroy him, and they now have two kids as well. Most are good to great reads, but some were not so good to read.<br />Two of the best series were the times when Han and Leia go back to Han's home world and naturally find trouble there. The kids are getting themselves into trouble as well, and finding adventures on top of that. The other one was the Boba Felt series about the bounty hunter wars.<br /><br />Welcome to the group, have fun.
