I was talking about Stellarvue with someone thinking about getting an Orion refractor, I don't remember who.

Anyway a friend got an SV80 and did some astrophotos. Using a unmodified Canon 10D. A Stellarvue SV80s OTA goes for about $1800 and as he says he's just testing it out right now.

His e-mail:

Just wanted to share with you the type of image quality you can expect from a solidly mounted SV80s and an unmodified DSLR. This is my very first image post here, and I hope you will understand that shooting with any new instrument will take time and much practice to achieve the best images.

Comments?

Chris
http://www.schursastrophotography.com/10dastro/sv80s-1.html

Now you might have seen some of Chris's work else where or his published work in S&T, Astronomy, or APOD. He's good at this. See his other photo's http://www.schursastrophotography.com/

www.siriuslookers.org
