Super 8 was a (mostly) movie film format used in small and consumer cams - basically what everyone used before Beta and VHS camcorders.

LOL Young? No. The hair herds have migrated to safer climates. I am uncomfortably over 40.. I saw my first porn on Super 8! Going through setting up the projector and screen was a bit of a buzzkill, though.

But, I keep my youthful figure by posting witty remarks, sometimes minus the wit, on teh intranetz! (Most of the time, deep into the AM, they need to be run through several translators before their full impact is realized.)

There was a point to my query:

The name of the movie is exceedingly strange for a sci-fi/action/horror/suspense flick. It must forcefully divest itself of other memes in the mind of the viewer or it's impact will be impaired. Naming a slasher movie "Hello Kitty Goes to My Little Pony Adventure Island" better give up the goods or it'll go into the bargain bin with "Santa Clause vs The Martians."

If it is successful, Super 8 Hotel's booking rates may drop, depending upon whatever particular nastiness they successfully attach to the name. Or, in contrast, if Super 8 becomes a massive hero symbol in the movie... US birth rates could climb dramatically.
