http://en.rian.ru/russia/20050927/41525719.html

Bulava is the first solid-fueled missile launched from the Russian submarine. It was designed by the same design bureau that designed Topol-M mobile ICBM.
It seems Makeev design bureau - producer of Volna boosters (remember Solar Sail?) - is out of submarine missile business forever.

Topol-M can fly to orbit as a Start-1 LV. It's interesting will the Bulava be operating on commercial launch market.

sorry

But don't believe it/or at least Im a bit synical. Last reports from Pavel Podvig is that the Bulava is far from ready.

and although I can't read Russian:
http://www.federalspace.ru/PlanQuart.asp

the following plan says that the september 27 launch is supposed to be a R-29R launch. Possibly with a commercial payload. In the form of the IRDT-2R.

So, Im awaiting more info before believe that the Bulava has finally materialised
then I shrink in humiliation.......

I checked the blog about 30 minutes ago, and there was nothing there then, but I didnt check the news section. . Ah well

I guess your right and Im wrong

Well, good news I guess, it made sense to develop a single ICBM, Topol M on land and a seabased brother Bulava

Thanks for the headsup though
