The Quantum Timewave - a unique thought experiment (even to Sci-Fi)

In the semiconscious moment of 5.30 am 5/11/2024 in bed, I asked myself why our 'now' should only be an instant. Why not a wave? And, if a wave, how would wavelength affect reality?
The following shortlist is a thought (experiment ?)

  • Most 'solid' objects have a 'now' wavelength that is comparatively short
  • A longer 'now' wavelength describes waveforms
    • Waves and solids are the same thing except for their 'now' wavelength
    • Long and short 'now' wavelengths are the same instant (we all experience 'now' constantly)
  • Using an analogy - that of radio waves seeing past interstellar dust -
    • lengthening your 'now' (wavelength) beyond that for solid objects enables you to pass through walls
    • removes air resistance (UFOs)
    • cushions inertia (UFOs)
    • provides that premonition feeling
    • The brain timewaves lengthen in crisis (time seems to slow)
  • Transitional Time Wavelengths - it's all relative; solid > plasma
  • Various time wavelengths result in uncertain positions at the quantum level
  • The book Spherelander needs a sequel: Timelander

A wavelength of time might vary from the smallest (5.39 x 10^-44 seconds) to as long as, say, 1 second i.e 300000km - an arbitrary number). Perhaps even matching all the possible wavelengths of EMR.

Although I intended the idea to apply at the quantum level perhaps, considering the potential for longer wavelengths, it could apply at a macro level. We tend to treat time as a continuous variable. The wavelength idea may enable us to treat time at a deeper level perhaps even toward understanding spacetime itself - although as many know I regard time as a process operating in 4D space. That is operating within a dimension (one of any 4) like any other process.

Given a 4D spatial environment, time becomes less fantastical as a wave process and time and distance become the same thing. I think. I suppose this conjecture needs to be thought of in the context of 'Spherelander'.

The idea of time as a waveform is not that we are observers watching/experiencing waves passing. It is that we are existing on the crest of a wave. (my original statement but I should have said existing as a wave) Just one. And that wave is carrying us forward in spacetime; hence the need for a concept like the Sphereland book (Timeland) but with an added dimension.

I now realise that there seems no way to legitimise the concept and it is in the realm of fantasy and probably not appropriate for a Cosmology Forum. A step too far unless anyone has some sort of supporting evidence justifying further speculation.
