I've just found that past episodes of the BBCs The Sky at Night are available online, and I'd though I'd share . If you've not heard of the program before its the BBC premier astronomy show and one of the longest running programs on TV, airing about once a month for the past 45 years! Check out the site for more.

The Sky at Night

What a great link, nacnud! I'm always searching for astronomy related links to feed the addiction, and this looks like it'll be added to the favorites list. Thanks again!

I've been enjoying The Sky at Night myself for the past 2 years or so....... wish there were more such programs available. Why can't they spin off more of this type of programming the way they do schlock such as CSI and Law & Order.

Just thought I'd give this thread a bump. I only just found out about this myself, after somebody mentioned it on another board. I did know about Sir Patrick Moore's astronomy section on the BBC site and have read quite a bit of it in the past, but I didn't realise there were all those "Sky at Night" episodes available for viewing online (or as downloads.)

Anyway, the link is still the same (as in the op.) I just hope this is available to people outside the UK (as some of the BBC material is not.)

-----------------------------------------------------

Lady Nancy Astor: "Winston, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea."
Churchill: "Nancy, if you were my wife, I'd drink it."

Website / forums

What annoys me is the BBC broadcasts this show on BBC3 at a stupid time like 1AM once a month, not everyone can watch it. The BBC which represent the people should drop silly stuff like eastenders and place broadcasting like this in its place where it belongs.

BBC horizons is a very good broadcast also. I enjoyed the last einstein docus
