The following image is part of my cartoon blog, "There is Strangeness in the Universe," which is found at http://strangenessinuniverse.blogspot.com. The cartoon is about the free tail bat that hitched a ride on Discovery and is an unofficial portrait of the AstroBat.

MeteorWayne,

Two comments.

One, I was told that User Announcements was an appropriate place to post these links.

Two, You do not have to read the posts, if they bother you.

Thank you,

I have started to post excerpts from a science fiction novel that I started writing in 1990 about alien observation of our world on Scribd.

The setting is 1993, and the principal character is a naval officer turned investment banker, Mike Liu, who is deep into a project when an insistent caller changes his life forever. Something has happened and Mike is dragged into a world of intrigue and mystery that he had thought he had left behind; a world completely different from his comfortable existence as a banker. Mike must solve this decades old mystery while trying to figure why someone or something is trying to kill him and his colleagues.

The novel focuses on strange objects in the ocean around the United States that were accidentally discovered in the late 1960s by a Navy plane flying a routine magnetometer profiling flight in the Atlantic Ocean south of Bermuda. Subsequently, three more objects were discovered off the coasts of the United States. What were these mysterious objects and why were they strategically stationed as if to observe our country?

The excerpts can be found at the following URLs:

I will be adding more as time goes by and if interest is shown for this story.

The story, of course, is science fiction, but much of the technology in this novel has come true since I first started writing this novel in 1990 (first copyrighted in 1991, copy on file at the Library of Congress). The aspects of deep ocean technology come from my background as an ocean research engineer involved in deep ocean systems. As a young engineer in the early 1970s, I was certified as a hyperbaric chamber operator and participated as an operator on the first dive by humans to a simulated depth of 1,500 feet of seawater depth inside the chamber.

By way of introduction, I have degrees from two well-known universities in Mechanical Engineering and a law degree from a third well-known university. I hold a patent on an underwater mooring system. I have practiced as an engineer, a lawyer and an investment banker.

I also post my cartoons on my website: http://strangenessinuniverse.blogspot.com which explores the concept that a mirrored universe of strange matter must exist to balance our own universe and how things might be in a strange universe.

I hope you enjoy the excerpts from my novel.

PhilC68- Only a moderator-with no hat or lights on-has responded to 'you'. Only 'you' have responded to 'yourself'. Are you a computer program?

If you are a human, a word of advice: GET PUBLISHED! Then we might check out your work, hmmm?

Otherwise, if you are really an artist, and have talent, you don't need to spam your way to success. My guess is that you are a hack.

You think imposing/blogging yourself on multiple websites is going to give you recognition? You can get all the publicity in the world. But with no talent, whatever you express, will still flop!

The 'novel' you began in 1990, is it finished yet? What are you waiting on? Your death? Kind of like Copernicus?

Thank you,

*Moderator hat on*

A couple of things for you to consider:

(1) MeteorWayne is a moderator, so I would be a VERY careful about suggesting the old "if you don't like it,
you don't have to read it". He was *gently* suggesting that you are getting into SPAM territory with your
posting pattern.

(2) This forum is not some kind of a defacto blog / advertizement for you. Using it on a *continuing* basis as
such is an abuse of your posting priviledges here.

*Moderator hat off*
