The significance will be whether activities like climate change research will relocate and continue or get dismantled and be forced to cease. The Trump administration has stated and demonstrated hostility to climate change research, perhaps on an 'if a tree falls and no-one hears there is no deforestation' basis. My own view is that is it is dangerously irresponsible and likely to be damaging to ignore climate change science.
