UV images of Venus, all the way back to Mariner, do not show bands parallel to the equator but more like chevrons. The image does not come up on a Google image search. The article lists it as " image of Venus' orientation". The image is certainly AI.

That’s generally what I’m I’ve seen, too. But I’m not that knowledgeable on Venus imaging. I tried years ago to get a “true color” image of Venus and only found false color renditions.

But cloud structures vary. Try these from Mariner (UV & orange plus processing tricks)…
