Hi: Walter Cronkite died today. I think a fitting tribute would be to name a moon crater, or the first human lunar base after him.

I agree totally.

Walter was a great communicator, who bought enthusiasm & gunuine reporting to the people, as it was, not manipulated, etc.

His coverage of Apollo was outstanding to say the least (obviously I have seen only recordngs here in the UK). Certainly a crater, be it on the Moon, Mars or Mercury, etc named after him would not go amiss IMHO.

Agreed, naming a crater or asteroid after him would be a great honor to such a passionate supporter of space exploration.
