News about the confirmation of the 'acceleration' of the expansion of the Universe. Which of course led to the discovery of dark energy. Completely unexpected. A foundational paradigm shift
 
"Hot off the presses". Stellarwest's post, Friday, 7-9-'21, that the supernova of Betelgeuse may be visible on Earth within ~5+ years. The analysis and program code are delineated. Well worth the read and pondering, and for the "thru the bits types" a nice weekend project to tinker with.
