I've been thinking of a 60mm refractor or a 3in reflector from Orion but I dont know which one will work best. I would like one that will show me all the major planets and some deep sky stuff too. Which one would should I get?

Budget Scopes

Both the scopes made the list but I wouldn't advise either. Nothing under 6" in a reflector. The Starblast is actually a better scope (if you put eyepieces in it that cost more then the scope like we have), I can't stand the false color (chromatic aberration) in the Orion refractors.

So You Want to Buy a Telescope

Ten Tips for First-Time Telescope Buyers

Choosing Your First Telescope

www.siriuslookers.org

Thanks. I think I'll just save up for the Starblast. I didnt think the two that i wanted before would be that good, and I've always wanted one that would show some deep sky stuff too.
