Where did Earth's water come from? This ancient asteroid family may help us find out

I don't think we know our water inventory. I think there is much more water in earth's crust than in the oceans. And that water is super-heated. Earth is saturated with water.
I agree, but there may have been so many more asteroids in the past that are not today and are joined to the Earth.

I think water on Earth came from 4 main sources .. asteroids, comets, ice / snow, and steam from internal sources like steam vents. Steam and ice / snow may be the greatest factor.
FYI .. Continental Land may have not have occurred until after Earth was a water world.
