I drove 3 days from Los Angeles to somewhere in Texas, and three days back to Los Angeles to see four minutes of total eclipse on April 8, 2024 and it was 1000x worth it. So why not travel even farther to see another one? Plus, who doesn’t want to check out the giant heads on Easter Island?

Well, I was not disappointed- it was a blast! And for those that couldn’t afford the $9-10k the tour companies were charging, be adventurous! The total for my entire trip, including airfare, food, lodging, and transfers came out to just less than $2500, everything booked online in just a few minutes.
