Why were so many airplanes aloft tonight before launch.

Tonight before launch there were five or six planes in flight not far from Kennedy Space Center just minutes before launch. I thought they closed down the air space before a launch. Have they changed the policy on air space restricts before launches?

I think it was more of the same as the splash down in the Gulf. People with more time/money than sense.
