I know he often meant well, but gee: gaetanomarano is now having his psychedelic, multi-coloured capital letter-infested, anti-manned space webpages linked on Wikipedia in the VSE and CEV sections. (Go to bottom to see):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_for_space_exploration

To think: some schoolkids will be reading this guff and using it as reference for their projects.

Sigh...

One Percent of Federal Funding For Space: America CAN Afford it!! LEO is a Prison -- It's time for a JAILBREAK!!

that is definitely gaetano's paragraph at the end of the VSE entry. Not sure how much you all follow Wikipedia news, but they have repeatedly banned the US Congress' range of IP addresses from editting wiki pages. It turns out that staffers were posting libel & slander against opposing Congressmen.

It is pretty embarrassing to see Gaetano's blathering linked along with more reasonable/official pages.

Josh

We need a first generation of pioneers.

I hadn't seen the bit about congress. That is fascinating!

I knew there had been a number of controversial contributions that had come up in the news a couple of months ago...

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

>Look up "Bush", or "Kerry", or any major political figure, and notice they have locked out further editing. It got to be a game with people to trash the other guy, and some of the perps were paid employees of people in Washington.

Like I wrote, the staffers were trashing wikipedia entries, i'm sure others were as well. Plenty of news about it on Slashdot.

wikipedia at least has some edit/moderation - gaetano's material won't last to long. Here on SDC, without user-level moderation, his... diarreal... postings were a real drag on useful discussion.

Josh

We need a first generation of pioneers.

Unfortunately, askold (who was at least more intelligible than gaet) has just re-emerged. His very first post introduced a thread in which he stated that he was totally against the manned space program!!

These anti manned program (and therefore anti NASA, shuttle, ISS and VSE) people are almost as persistent as some of the political extremist fanatics over on free space! After awhile you start to feel like you are swimming uphill against a flow of molasses!!

Oh well.............

To even these people, but especially to the rest of you, Have A Great Day!!!
