Current theories say it isn't possible. In order to do it, you have to have all sorts of exotic materials that are, while theoretically possible, basically the same as "unobtanium" used in movies or comic books.
The problem is that just approaching a wormhole with matter and/or energy makes it want to close, so you have to brace the thing with negative energy and mass....which while fine on paper, nobody has any clue if it's even possible to make it in the real world.
Even then, you'd need something like the mass of a mountain (IIRC) to just pass tennis ball through it...
