Leave it up to a [insert expletive here] politician to screw up something truly good.

My only regret is that I am not a New Mexico resident. I hate not having a voice in this matter.

So, again we are defeated. I hate to say this, but this notice does not sound real. It sounds like a hoax. Sudden panic, unnamed senator, and nothing on X-Prize web site.

In fact X-Prize is taking registration for lunar challenge.

In the Spaceport America website it says:
"On April 3, 2007 Dona Ana, Otero, and Sierra Counties will vote on the option of raising their gross receipts taxes to help fund Spaceport America. "

Maybe that's really what the panic is about.

"SCE to AUX" - John Aaron, curiosity pays off
