its been theorized that dark energy opposes gravity. But i think time dilation gradients are the key to both(gravity and dark energy) i think they are really just two different applications of the same force of space/time curvature.

I agree, i think that is exactly what relativity leads to. timeflow is inversely proportional to the energy of the matter that measures it. space distance is defined by the speed of light / timeflow . Thus as matter gains or loses energy space expands or contracts around it.

that's quite the assumption. could be that the event horizon is just a temporal illusion as we ride into a gravity tsunami wave of sorts. in half a wavelength the expansion could reverse.

IMO There is only a universal now and a variable rate at which information can propagate. This rate of propagation is what measure and call time.
