Question How to climb the stairs to the stars?

If you could test your idea on a small scale, and it works. Then you could scale up your test model. Investors or governments are not to invest in an unproven concept.

The Chinese have a chance to get to the moon first ... sls second

Hi: Only time will tell who is right. The first SLS mission goes up next month. The first crewed SLS mission next year. I think Gateway will be in lunar orbit no later than Nov 2024. Gateway will be launched via a Falcon 9 Heavy rocket. Ref: https://www.nasa.gov/gateway/overview With Gateway...

The Chinese have a chance to get to the moon first ... sls second

Okay Maxi, send me a link that indicates that the Chinese are now building a rocket capable of a return trip to the Moon. I want to see the pictures as well.

I don't see the Chinese landing on the Moon first. You just don't develop a heavy lift rocket overnight. Back in the '60s, it took NASA 9 years to develop and certify the Saturn 5 rocket for the Moon launches. The first test flight for the SLS will be in two months IF everything checks out.

Given that the human body readjusts itself to gravity again, weightlessness may be the lesser evil than radiation poisoning and running out of oxygen. What rate of spin would generate artificial...

    No wings for Bezos’ flight

Here's the definition of Astronaut according to Dictionary.com "A person engaged in or trained for spaceflight. " As I understand it, prior to flight, all of these passengers undergo training in emergency procedures and piloting in case the autopilot goes haywire. I would say at this early...

    Space debris cleaning mission

Did you not read the information contained on the ESA website? Launch is scheduled for the year 2025. How to dispose of the debris? Burn it up in the earth's atmosphere. And the bigger stuff? Send it towards the sun. Clive
