A fourth was the destruction of a satellite by the nuclear warhead of a U.S. Army Nike Zeus missile in May 1963. The Soviet Union conducted dozens of tests of anti-satellite weapons which, while they did not destroy satellites, exploded warheads in space creating clouds of shrapnel.

In addition India successfully tested an anti-satellite weapon in 2019. The test was conducted at 300 km so the 270 pieces of debris detected by the U.S. Air Force should almost all be gone by now.
