AN EXERCISE IN LOGIC
A DEMONSTRATION OF DEDUCTIVE PRINCIPLES IN OUTER SPACE

The Problem. Three astronauts enter the event horizon of a black hole and take positions one above the other a short distance inside the event horizon. The third astronaut is uppermost among the three. The second astronaut is a short distance below the third. The first astronaut is a short distance below the second. Describe each astronaut's observations of himself and his companions.

Remoat, it is true we were a little hard on you. But the post you started this with did not make a lot of sense to us. By nature, most of us are not rude people. Our problem was understanding your post more than anything.

You start by writing:

"This puzzle is not necessarily consistent with the laws of physics." and then you tell us to use "AN EXERCISE IN LOGIC".

Most of us cannot do such puzzles without logic (which got in the way big time), especially without a greater understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. Sorry for seeming to be rude. Don't be discouraged from trying again.

None of the three can see themselves or each other because there is no light to illuminate there bodies.
