9 alien planet discoveries that were out-of-this-world in 2022

A point I note here. The exoplanet.eu site shows 5296 confirmed. 2436 report radius 3 or less earth radii size. You can sort that out quickly using descriptive stats and histogram. The mean is 1.8596. The NASA exoplanet archive site shows 2708 with radius 3 or less earth radii. Mean 1.898 earth radii. Exoplanets with larger radius than Earth with mean densities some 4-6 g cm^-3 will have more mass, greater surface gravity, greater escape velocities than Earth and 100 lbs. on Earth will weigh much more than 100 lbs. on some of these exoplanets documented.

Another note here. The 2436 exoplanets at the .eu site, 1 standard deviation = 0.614 earth radii so the majority fall between 1.2 to 2.4 or so earth radii. The MS Excel histogram plot shows the majority falling between 1.12 to 2.72 earth radii size. The NASA exoplanet archive site, 2708 show similar. 1 standard deviation = 0.604 earth radii so the majority fall between similar values. The histogram shows 1.2 to 2.7 earth radii for the bulk of the exoplanets reported in the range 3 or less earth radii. Most of these exoplanets are larger and more massive than Earth.
