A Hypothesis on the Initial Titan Findings

I wonder if what were seeing is the following:<br /><br />Same basic material--methane-- in white or dark simply corresponds to liquid/solid state. Perhaps there is some trace mineral in solution that darkens the liquid methane (anyone know if there is experimental evidence of this). The liquid methane gets kicked up by wind, waves, etc. and when airborne solidifies. It then collects in frozen mounds slightly above the "sea level." (These mounds are possibly located where bedrock comes closer to the surface.) The methane liquid lapping on the shore eats away the edges of the frozen methane and the cycle continues.<br /><br />Anyone know what the phase point of liquid to frozen methane is? Or what effects a dissolved material might have in shifting this phase point?
