http://www.thespacereview.com/article/325/1

Sam Dinkin writes:

In reply to:

I am posting a $1,000 prize for the best article promoting human spacefaring that appeared in a print or web publication during 2004. I have recruited the editor of the Space Review, Jeff Foust, and the editor of HobbySpace, Clark Lindsey, to help me to make this selection. Next year, we will seek a corporate sponsor and celebrity judges, and try to emulate the Pulitzer Prizes with its categories and resources. However, this year, we will just do it. Check out http://www.spacejournalism.com and let me know what you think.

So if you are not building a rocket yet, at least start sharpening your quill pens to help humanity spread to stars. A worthy cause.

Thank you, no_way!

It would appear that posts on a message board do not qualify, but I can't be sure.

. . . will be awarded to the author with the best article promoting human spacefaring that appeared in a print or web publication . . .

. . . Preference will be given to those submissions that are freely accessible or available at a nominal charge . . .

Did I just "publish" this post?

Does the author need to use his legal name, or does a nom-de-plume count?

IOW, could spacester theoretically win with a post on this forum? Just as an example, mind you.
