A Real-Life Deluminator for Spotting Exoplanets by Reflected Starlight

For the last decade or more, Muggles around the world have been busy designing and perfecting a similar device called a coronagraph.

Very interesting report. The site I use as my canonical exoplanet list shows 4151 confirmed and 135 imaged - most are far from their parent or host star as measured in AU, The Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia Looking at Sirius A and B for example and using a distance of 2.64 pc, an exoplanet at 5.28 AU from the host star, the angular separation between host star and exoplanet will be near 2". The father away the star is from Earth, the smaller the arcsecond measure will be to show in optical light the exoplanet imaged from the host star. Looking forward to more exoplanets images :)
