"Here's another location from another book: Americans called it the Stone, Russians called it the Potato."<br /><br />sounds very familiar. was it one of the martian moons in the Red/Green/Blue Mars series? <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p> </p><p><font color="#993366"><em>The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.</em> <br /> --- James Clerk Maxwell</font></p> </div>

I think I found the answer on google while looking in the wrong place (I was checking Pohl's Gateway, which I read ages ago), so I will recuse myself from this one. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p> </p><p><font color="#993366"><em>The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.</em> <br /> --- James Clerk Maxwell</font></p> </div>

The asteroid appeared originally in Eon, but was also in the sequel Eternity, so that's correct. The newest book in Eon series is Legacy, a prequel to Eon. Havent read that yet.

Dahak was the name of earth's moon/spaceship in Mutaneer's Moon. Thought that everyone would get that. I'll step aside now if someone else would like to make a question. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <br /><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="width:271px;background-color:#FFF;border:1pxsolid#999"><tr><td colspan="2"><div style="height:35px"><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/htmlSticker1/language/www/US/MT/Three_Forks.gif" alt="" height="35" width="271" style="border:0px" /></div>

David Weber wrote it, it is copywritten in 1991. It's a very good book, a little different than other Weber books. But IMHO, Weber is the smoothest writer around and this book as his others are very smooth reading. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <br /><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="width:271px;background-color:#FFF;border:1pxsolid#999"><tr><td colspan="2"><div style="height:35px"><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/htmlSticker1/language/www/US/MT/Three_Forks.gif" alt="" height="35" width="271" style="border:0px" /></div>
