Consider the Newton toy---swing the ball sideways, and a wave travels slowly from one end
to the other. Drop the ball in lengthwise, and the ball at the far end pops out IMMEDIATELY....
Now, consider that the quantum substrate (I'll call it) is a cubic array of massless point charges
of opposite sign held together in an essentially cubic array by the Coulomb force. Disturbances
in this medium will behave exactly like the little Newton toy, meaning that:
(1) transverse waves travel at a characteristic velocity (which we call "c"), and
(2) longitudinal waves can cross the universe essentially INSTANTANEOUSLY.
I know, most choose not to believe this. They prefer to believe the unsupported assertions of
a certain unnamed Kahzarian dude (named Einstein). This, in spite of the hard, cold PROOF of
performance in the laboratory provided by Dr. Gunter Nimtz, and numerous others. Go figure.
So, can the Alien Dudes check us out "in real time" at intergalactic distances? Actually, yes.
But no one here is going to believe that for a LONG, long time....
Man is an idiot. Just my opinion....
