Antarctica's 'Doomsday Glacier' is fighting an invisible battle against the inner Earth, new study finds

Actually, a dramatic rise in sea level especially in the Atlantic Ocean would cause an unprecedented population migration away from the sea side. So now is that time cite this article, and to make a low-ball offer on that "special but previously unaffordable" beach house with a balcony view of the sea scape, the beach and over the privacy fence to the nudist colony.

Catastrophe

"Science begets knowledge, opinion ignorance.
Just seen on tv (Smithsonian) that if all the ice on Antarctica and Greenland melted, sea level would rise by 230 feet. Of course, floating ice (as in Arctic) scarcely affects sea level (Archimedes Principle). The 'scarcely' is due to ice being pure water, and sea being salt water (about 3%).

Whilst this would lose quite a lot of land to the sea, quite a lot would become habitable as the ice leaves habitable land (Canada, Siberia).

Cat :)

Perhaps those current Beach House dwelling politicians, enablers and associated riff raff would/could be shuttled off to Antarctica or Greenland so they would be able to maintain their ambiance. However, I think Siberia would be a better choice somewhere around the North Pole.
