Just topological features. That's all there is there. <br /><br />clue: There is <b>nothing anomalous</b> about these over sized photos.<br /><br />No need to invent new theories for something that is as simple as black and white moon features.

I see craters - but no rocks!

I think it's safe to assume there are some rocks in that picture, but you're right -- at this resolution, you can only make out large-scale features such as mountains.
